These are the singers who volunteer their time to lead the Northern Kentucky Community Chorus.

President — Sarah Patton
I have been singing in choirs all of my life, but my experience with NKCC, which I found just a few years ago, has enriched my life beyond measure. The music that we sing is sometimes hard, sometimes fun, and always meaningful. Stephanie brings out the best in all of us, and makes the experience of both rehearsals and performances a joy for me. As president of NKCC, I hope to continue to nurture our community of singers, support our growing excellence and to expand our outreach to the community.

Vice President — Jim Wakefield

I was seeking a vibrant, spirited and challenging chorus for a long time but business travel made that impossible. Now retired and having found NKCC, I look forward to our Tuesday evenings together singing, learning and experiencing the musical community that I was missing out on for too long. NKCC embodies that special blend of talent, camaraderie, and a willingness to learn a wide range of challenging and rewarding pieces that makes me want to be a part of it.

Treasurer — Patty Schaeper

I have been a member of NKCC since 1986. NKCC is special in that all ages and occupations are represented. It is a group that joins together over the love of music. NKCC has been blessed with two wonderful conductors – Dr. John Westlund, who founded NKCC in 1980, and Stephanie Nash, who assumed the position in 2013. Their dedication is one of the main reasons for the success and longevity of NKCC.

Secretary — Wendy Fend

I have been singing with NKCC since 2020, joining after a long period singing with another community choir and serving on their board. I enjoy the quality and community of the singers in NKCC and the knowledge and commitmentu of Stephanie, our director. She makes every rehearsal fun and productive and provides so many resources to allow me to grow as a singer. I love the repertoire selected and the challenge of preparing new works.

At Large — Jane Pitocco
In the spring of 2019, I saw an article in a local publication highlighting NKCC and I decided to show up at one of their rehearsals to see if I felt I would fit. I did not know a single person there. I sat in one of the pews and was awestruck at how many members were already up on the altar for the rehearsal! I was already participating in a church choir in Cincinnati every week, but there are usually only 12-14 of us there. The number of choristers in NKCC convinced me to take a shot at joining the group, and I am very delighted to have done it! The work we do is compelling and I enjoy the contemporary, secular, and sacred classics we perform. Stephanie has a knack to diligently work through the pieces, and she structures our rehearsals in such a fashion that we believe we can perform the beautiful music we work so hard to create. Music has a way to magically bring together interesting people and the pleasure of getting to know them!
