History

Dr. John Westlund founded the Northern Kentucky Community Chorus in 1980, while teaching at Northern Kentucky University. Dr. Westlund also served as president of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. The Northern Kentucky Community Chorus has routinely sung two concerts each year, specializing in major works and biyearly productions of Handel’s Messiah. Dr. Westlund retired from NKCC in December of 2012. We appreciate his years of leadership and hope that this strong choral organization continues for many more years.

Stephanie Nash
assumed the role of conductor in the spring of 2013. As a music educator, church musician and conductor, Stephanie brings a passion of choral music to this organization. She is honored to continue the traditions of the Northern Kentucky Community Chorus and lead them into the years to come.
